Description

Students are placed in quartets or small ensembles based on age, experience, and musical goals. Ensembles meet for one-hour coachings led by members of the Griffon String Quartet.

Through chamber music, students develop advanced musicianship, listening skills, leadership, communication, rehearsal techniques, and collaborative artistry while preparing repertoire for informal sharings, community performances, or special events.

In addition to musical growth, students gain valuable experience working as an independent ensemble, learning skills that cannot be developed through private lessons alone.

Payment for complete sessions is required in advance, except in hardship cases, which are addressed on a case-by-case basis.

If a scholarship is awarded, the student may be requested to write Thank You notes and participate in special performances.

Attendance policy: If the teacher needs to cancel, the lesson will be made up. If the student needs to cancel, 48-hour notice must be given to qualify for a makeup lesson. One makeup lesson will be offered per semester. This does not apply to emergencies.
